Stash Cookie Statement
Last Updated: August 20, 2024
Welcome to Fractal Wagmi, Inc., dba Stash (“Stash,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Within this Cookie Statement, incorporated by reference into Stash’s Privacy Policy, we offer transparency about how we collect and use cookies and other tracking technologies when you visit or otherwise use www.stash.gg, including any other web pages and subdomains we create and operate (“Site”) or interact with us from sources permitted to link to the Stash Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Services”). The term “cookie” is used in this Cookie Statement in the broad sense to include cookies and all similar technologies, such as web beacons and pixels.
This Cookie Statement does not cover actions in relation to storefront site or features we host and maintain on behalf of a developer or seller licensing our services (“Provider”) when Stash is operating as a data processor under applicable laws. In those circumstances, please review the specific developer’s disclosures on the use of cookies for websites under their control. Non-English translations of this Cookie Statement are provided for convenience only. In the event of any ambiguity or conflict between translations, the English version is authoritative and controls to the full extent permitted by applicable law. We may update this Cookie Statement occasionally, so we encourage you to periodically review it for any changes since your last visit for additional information. When we make changes, we’ll update the “Last Updated Date” at the top of the Cookie Statement and post it on our Site.
Definitions
Cookies are small data files and alphanumeric identifiers transferred to your computer, mobile or other device through your web browser when you visit a website. Tracking technologies used include tags and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our Services. Certain sections of our Site and our emails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as pixel tags and single-pixel gifs) that allow us, for example, to count users who have visited those pages or opened an email and for other related website statistics such as the popularity of certain sections.
Depending on their use, cookies may have different durations. Persistent cookies remain on your device for the period specified in the cookie. Each time you visit the website that created that particular cookie, they are activated. Session cookies are designed to collect and store data when you access a website or an app. They are used to store data that is only relevant for providing the service on a one-off basis. Once you close the browser, all session cookies are deleted.
The website owner or a third party may set cookies. Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, Stash) are "first-party cookies,". Approved parties, other than Stash, may also set cookies when you interact with our Services. These are referred to as “third-party cookies” which generally allow third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the Site. The parties that set third-party cookies can recognize your computer or device both when it is used for visits to the Site or to certain other websites that have an established relationship or partnership with the third party. We do not control third-party cookies or how they may be used.
Why We Use Cookies
Stash uses first-party and third-party cookies for several reasons. Like most websites, we use cookies and similar tracking technologies to gather data that helps us analyze traffic patterns, identify popular features, recognize you and your settings and to generally improve your user experience. Pixel tags, web beacons, session logs and other technologies may be used to understand how our users interact with our Services and emails. Cookies may also be used to deliver advertising and content tailored to your interest.
Some cookies are categorized as essential and others are generally classified as functional, performance/analytics cookies or targeting cookies.
Essential Cookies: They enable core functionality such as security, network management, and are required for the Site to work technically. These cookies are triggered in response to actions within our Platform and are stored when you access our Site and the Services. Specifically, we use essential cookies to: i) manage our Site and certain content; ii) record your cookie preferences when made available to us; iii) identify you as being logged into the Site and authenticate you; iv) allow you to make use of our functions such as shopping-carts, saved search, cache or similar functions; and v) ensure platform security by detecting spam. Our Site cannot function properly without these cookies. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but that will cause some parts of the Site not to work, and we can not guarantee its performance during your visit.
Functional Cookies: These cookies make it possible for Stash to make audio and video components work or to remember choices you make when you use the Site, such as remembering your login details or language preference. This allows us to present the Site according to the settings you selected and to avoid you having to re-enter your preferences every time you use the Site. Functional cookies also help us verify your account and collect information about your use of the Services so we may test new features, improve functionality and optimize the Site. If you do not have these cookies, then some or all of features of our Sites may not function properly.
Performance and Analytics Cookies: These cookies help collect data that allow us to understand how visitors interact with or use our Site. For instance, these cookies track Site pages that visitors go to most often, whether they get error messages, and if they do, from which web pages. We also use these cookies to manage the planning and performance of our marketing tools and test new pages, features or functionality of the Site to see how our users react to them. Some of these cookies may be set using third-party web analytics tools, such as Heap and Google Analytics.
Targeting Cookies and Marketing Cookies. Targeting cookies are designed to gather information from your device to display advertisements to you based on your interest as well as to measure your engagement with those advertisements on other websites you visit and measure effectiveness of marketing campaigns. These cookies are placed by advertising networks or different social media services that we may add to our Site.
Managing Cookies
Depending on your location and the laws that apply to you, we may request your consent before placing these cookies on your computer or device and provide you with options to manage your choices.
To maximize your experience on our Site, you may accept or consent to the use of all cookies on our Site or decline the use of non-essential cookies. You can also instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. If you do not accept all cookies, you may not be able to use some parts of our Site.
If you wish to make your choices, you can manage your cookie preferences in different ways, apart from a cookie banner presented to you, depending on your location. For targeting and marketing cookies, you may additionally opt out of having your information used for interest-based advertising and can learn how to do so by clicking HERE, or if located in the European Economic Area (“EEA”), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, by clicking HERE.
Your Choices for Third-Party cookies and Third-Party Website cookies. When using our Site, you may be directed to other websites for such activities as surveys, to make payments and to view content hosted on those sites such as an embedded video or news article. These websites may use their own cookies. We do not have control over the placement of cookies by other websites you visit, even if you are directed to them through Services we provide.
We do not control third parties' collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising, which is subject to their terms and privacy statements. For example, to learn more about Google Analytics privacy practices, you can visit HERE. You may be able to opt out of receiving personalized advertisements from companies that are members of the Network Advertising Initiative or who subscribe to the Digital Advertising Alliance's Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising.
